I told my pops I was thinking about swapping my hood to an HD hood, and after showing him this thread, he drove to the salvage yard yesterday and bought one for HIS truck..........He beat me to the punch.

That was nice of your dad!
When I bring stuff home I get asked what I am going to do with that junk...
He guilted me in to getting rid of the hood and less then 1 month later my truck got side swiped and it was in the shop getting a new paint job. I had to buy a brand new one since a good used one is not easy to come by when you want it ASAP.
