It's pretty tough stuff in my opinion. I think it would hold up on a set of wheels about a year or so, I don't know if it would fade out or not though. If it does start chipping or peeling you could peel it off, respray, and be set for quite awhile again.

I have plastidip on my winter wheels, grill shell, front bumper, and mirror caps and Ive only had to respray the mirrors so far. Everything is going on two years now and is holding up pretty well.
How well do they hook on wet pavement? Going to be running 18s all the time here soon and need a good summer tire that can handle the rain well under power.
