Default projector headlights

just got a set of projector headlights and i have pilot 8000k hid's in them. the projectors killed so much of the light output. has anyone pulled out the projector shield inside to let the light travel striaght thru? i was wondering if this would let thru more light.

I have heard alot of people say that projectors made the light output way shittier. Ive had 2 sets now and have 2 buddies that each have a set of projectors and it was way better than stock, and much much better after the HIDs were installed. Did you get OEM denali projectors?

If you do that, it defeats the purpose of the projector, unless I am not understanding right. Like said, are they denali projectors? I have heard all after market projectors reduce light output, but never heard anyone say that about the denali's

The projectors on my GMC narrowed the light beam, but that's what they were supposed to do. I can see in the range of light better, it's just a little more narrow than stock. The high beams aren't projectors and spread light as they are supposed to. Both have halogen bulbs, not HIDs.

ive had awesome luck out of my non OEMs with visibility was way better than stock even when i had the normal halogens in the projectors. Non OEMs look better IMO too, OEMs have to much reflector. But thats just me.
