Default Relocating Jack?

Ok guys, in the NBS trucks, standard cab, the bottle jack is under a plastic cover that spans the entire backseat. I am wanting to move it out of there as getting it out with my subs sitting on top is a PITA. Has anyone relocated theirs to under the hood? I would like to do that or possibly the bed with minimal drilling? The bed I think would be easier, but I would rather have it under the hood. I thought some people had done it but I haven't seen any pics of it? I plan on looking at it more this weekend but wanted to see first if anyone had done this yet. Ideas?

I had to put mine under the hood because of my system. Passenger side right under the fender support up by the fire wall. I used an existing bolt and put it through one of the holes in my jack carrier then got a stainless bolt with a large stainless washer that holds the other side down. There is no need to drill any holes, if you use the existing ones they work. The thing the jack mounts onto is bolted down so if you want to use the jack you just twist it to the left to lower it and relieve the pressure then you can pull it out.

So you moved the jack and the carrier? Any pics (I'll look a little later when I can get the truck into the garage and out of the 10 degree weather). What size bolts?

OK, is there any critical downside if I can only get one pre-existing hole/bolt to work? I would think it would be ok. I am just trying to keep from drilling any extra holes.

Theres quite a few existing holes to use, I installed mine like in the pic above however I put another bolt in with a large stainless washer. The 2nd bolt doesn't actually go through any existing holes in the carrier. It goes through one of the bottom holes though and the large washer lips over the edge of the carrier. When it is tightened down it holds down well. I noticed a bit of a rattle or movement with just the one bolt so I would go ahead and put a second one in.

Got it, I just pulled out the dremel and trimmed the jack mounting plate a little bo I could use the second hole. Thanks for the post though.
