Default Removing bowtie

Girlfriend wants her bow tie black to match ehr truck, whats the best way to take it off and paint it? TIA

it has two clips one on the right side of it, and one on the left side.
I couldnt manage to get mine off of my '00 silverado, so i just put tape around the bowtie and newspaper all around the area to avoid overspray and sanded it down a lil and spray painted it. Came out pretty good.

Like Pewter said, it's just clipped on. You can access the clips by removing the black nose piece under the hood that connects to the grille. It's pretty easy to get out then.
