Default Removing "Chevrolet" stickers on tailgate

I have a base 2004 RCSB Silverado and I want to remove the "Chevrolet" letter stickers that go across my tailgate. I'm NOT talking about the emblems that are on LS or LT models. Anybody have any suggestions for removing these stickers easily? I already removed my door moldings and I want to complete the "clean" look for my truck by removing the Chevrolet letters on my tailgate. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think I used my fingernail to do this a few years ago. Although, I'm sure there are easier ways.

I used a hair dryer... gotta have patience tho. After you heat it up, you can go along it with your finger nail. In my case, it got a little too hot when i was using the hair dryer so I did a combination of warm soapy water and the hair dryer and than it was a little better so i didnt burn my finger tips as much.

To get the first part off get a fishing line behing it and pull it across but stay away from the paint. You might need to heat it up first or if you do it on a hot enough day you wont have to worry about it.

For the rest you can sometimes just rub it off with your fingers but they will be raw by the time you are done but it is worth the effort.

If they're anything like the 4x4/Z71 decals, they'll just peel right off with a fingernail. I've never actually removed on of the chevy stickers though, so take this with a grain of salt.

It was a bitch removing mine! I used the fishing line to remove the silverado emblem and it helped a little but the hard part is removing that sticky stuff. Tried the blow dryer but I have no patience so I dished that. Finally the easiset way to removing that sticky stuff was paint thinner ,yes ,It came right off without damaging the paint or leaving anything behind. Waxed and buffed and came out perfect!

Easy with a heat gun. If you can't keep the back of your hand on the paint you are getting it to hot. It will help just dont get it to hot.

Autozone sells a sticker remover spray. I used it this weekend. Works awsome. Just spray it on and the sticky dissolves.
