I just did mine today. I bought some 3m adhesive remover. Used a plastic scraper to wedge underneath the emblem. Came off easy, residue came off with the 3m. It took me about 10min. I hope this helps.

The dealership I bought my truck from put rims and SS stickers on the truck and they were starting to fade so I took em off the other day. 9 stickers in all counting the dealership one on the tailgate. I used a hair dryer, burnt my finger a few times, then I used this yellow stuff in a clear bottle called goo gone to get the sticky off. Took like 45 minutes to get all the sticky stuff off and ran out of goo gone when I only had one sticker left to go but it wasn't too bad. The stuff is like 2 bucks a bottle at auto zone.
