Default Removing chrome mirror caps

Do they just pull off? Are there any screws holding them in place?

Carfully pull them off. They are held on w/ 3m tape and a couple of clips that are pretty sensitive. I know I've seen a "How To" on this, let me find it and I'll pm u the url.

Hmmm....I wonder if I'd be better off trading someone that has mirrors with no caps.

Got the link, thanks. I didn't know there was nothing under the chrome cap. I want all black mirror housings...looks like I'll have to trade someone.

For anyone else who is looking for disassembly instructions, this is the link that midnight_bowtie sent me.

I may do that eventually, but I'll still need the all black housings. I want to get rid of all the chrome on my truck.

pull the chrome off and buy the black caps on ebay IMO. I like black mirrors too, goes good with dark tint. Color matched stands out too much, esp on my white truck.
