There are many ways this can be Done, for my truck I Did/Used the Following,
.....Heat Gun or Hair dryer....to soften up the door trim
.....Fishing line.....used a up-n-down motion, between the trim and body
.....Once all the trim was removed.....I used a 3M Eraser Wheel to remove the Left over Adhesive....your Hands/Fingers will Thank you for using the 3M Wheel
.....Then washed the Area down and then Used a Adams Polish
.....Last a Coat of Wax

heat gun, or blow dryer, lots of patience and i used my hand to remove the double sided tape that they put on so I didn't mess any of the paint up. (this is the part thats the most tedious) and i used a plastic shim basically to start prying the moldings up to get get them started easier

safest way is to pull the trim off, then use your thumbs for the double sided tape. enjoy the blisters that follow

I used a bondo spreader and heat gun, do not just pull on the trim or else you increase your chance of taking the paint off.

the easiest way to do it is to order a 3m eraser wheel.....but if your cheap like me, you can use your fingers and rub and scratch off all the old tape
