Default Repainting Cal-vu mirrors

Hey guys, looking at getting a set of cal-vu mirrors that have already been painted. What kind of prep work do I need to do to get it ready and then what process do I need to paint it correctly? Do I need a hardener if I don't sant it back down to the plastic, or should I be sanding that far anyway?

tape up the glass. sand it down with 320 or 400. if you sand it all the way down put some adhesion promoter on it. i would prob. put it on there anyways. then seal it, 2-3 coats of base and 2 coats of clear. put 3 coats if you are going to cut them and buff.
