yeah and to think that's from the 70s when my dad was a hippie doing burnouts. I think he told me he was doing alcohol burnouts on that one which showed another thing of him being stupid.

Ok I talked to my brother today about the hood and how it works. He mentioned that because of the shape and how it sticks up that it creates a negative airspace between the shaker and the windshield. The air that flows over and around the shaker will pull into the negative air space and it hits the window sucking back in the scoop. It works exactly the same way as a cowl hood. I don't know if I made a perfectly good explanation but it makes sense to me and I'm only 15, but then again I have study some physics and have been around engineering and explaining how things work all my life.
