as for the clips causing a vibration I would really like to know how after the wheel is already torqued on and all they're just gonna crush right up to the rotor. But either way, the tire shop shoulda taken them off anyway unless they're a bunch of toolbags

If the clips are still on there, some aftermarket wheels wont sit flush against the rotor and a pulsation could occur. You would still get them to their torque spec, but they wouldn't be flush.

Most common problem that causes a brake pulsation are rotors that have too much runout (warped), as mentioned above. Other items that may cause a brake pulsation are bad wheel bearings or severely worn steering components, but there should be other symptoms (noises, looseness in the steering) if that was the case

Are the wheels stock wheels or aftermarket? It could depend whether they are hub centric or lug centric. If they're lug centric, they will tend to wobble at higher speeds. You can get hub-centric rings for the wheels to correct this.

read the 1st post... "...tires and rims...". Lug centric is absolutely a possibility.. too bad its not a speed vib its a slowing down vib... thanks for playing.
