Question shaving stock silverado emblems

not sure if this is in the right place but oh well. I have a 2004 silverado with the plastic emblems on the tailgate, and was wonder how hard it was to remove them. Also if there just stock on, or have posts going through the tail gate that ill have to have a body shop fill in. thank you for any help in advance

Double-sided tape. Heat them up with a heat gun or hairdryer and pull 'em off. Some use a guitar string to get behind the emblem. Then just use some adhesive remover(Goo Gone, 3M) to get off the remainder of tape. Wax it and you're done

just did all of my emblems today, that glue is a pita to get off though, even with the 3m glue remover it took me almost an hour and half for the four emblems; 2 on the tailgate and the fender badges. It looks a whole lot cleaner and after that I ran a clay bar over the whole truck and threw a coat of wax on

I am going to remove some of my badges as well, its not that hard to do just take your time and do it right. Using the above mentioned methods with some time will yield good results.
