Im leaning towards a roll pan also, but i want to mold the spaces next to them. I have a step side and i really like how the welded ones look on fleet sides so i guess ill just have to mold mine right in.

If you can't weld it I wouldn't do it. I have seen way too many folks attempt this and it always cracks.

Did you have a hitch on yours? If so did you get the hidden hitch?

I have the factory tow package, and would like to switch to the hidden hitch, but worry about the roll pan fitting with the spare tire and stuff underneath. That's all that is keeping me from doing it, i love the look of the roll pans.

yes I did have the factory hitch and no I do not have the hidden hitch now. I have seen other trucks that do. I did have to buy the spare tire relocator kit and I can honestly say if you plan to run a hidden hitch you will have to get a smaller spare. there is a square cut out behind the license plate already so no cutting on the pan will be required. someday I may think about getting the hidden hitch to tow my boat but now we just use the tahoe as a tow vehicle. I would more than likely get a tonneau cover and throw the spare in the bed if I decided to get a hitch.

go welded, it looks much cleaner. I get compliments on mine all the time. I have had mine on for over a year now with no problems. I still get nervous every time I put it in reverse or hit the brakes hard in traffic.

good deal. I would go ahead and paint the back side of the pan with some rattle can paint before taking it to the body shop. I used that rustoleum hard hat paint in semi-gloss black and I touched it up where the welds were when she came home before installing the spare tire.

you won't regret the pan. they look sweet
