Side skirts...
OK, so i made my own custom exhaust for my truck, 2 4 inch tips ran out the side in front of the rear wheel, they sound great but they just look like there hanging down too low and being a a truck in the Midwest my rockers are slowly starting to rust... so i was thinking of getting some urethane side skirts and cutting an opening in them to make the tips look more at home. (the whole exhaust is modeled after the ford lighting, soon the truck will have a roots blower and be racing my friends truck.) anywho, has anyone put them on and had them look good?
another thing, the denalis have a real suttle mud flap built into the cladding on the front doors, i want to do that aswell and some how mold them into these side skirts to cover up my factory mudflaps (wich im afraid to take off because of what might be lurking behind them...) heres some pictures, shoot me some ideas, im just tryin to make the tips look better, and deff hide the rust. thanks

They look ok, but need to be tucked up tighter to the bottom.. Also I see alot of people running them in that same angle. IMO the slash needs to face down, the pipes them self need to be angled some, instead of coming strait out..

the picture is kinda mis leading, the pipes are an inch from the body and acctually look tucked up pretty nice, there are 2 angles on the tips too, there longer at the bottom and 47'ed lol i need a better picture for you guys, but i just wanna make a body kit fit around it, and have it look good, and ya know.. hide tha cancer

haha HELLLL NO! i like where the exhaust is at, i just wanna integrate a side skirt. i dont need the cladding, just the skirts and maby the denali mudflaps since there lower profile and painted

I can tell you that when I removed my factory mud flaps, lurking under them were holes through the paint and nasty rust spots Ended up getting all 4 quarters repaired and refinished behind the wheel wells...I'd recommend removing those flaps before any further damage occurs

yea the truck has had those flaps since it was new.... im real nervous about it. but i really wanna integrate a side skirt into a painted mudflap, (like whats on the denali's) i think it would flow and look legit and by the same token function as a mud flap. lol
