Default Silverado/Sierra interior door panels

Has anyone here removed the fabric from thier interior door panels where the lock button is? Is the fabric just glued on and can be peeled off?

Ive seen in the leather equipped suburbans and stuff that the door panels are leather/vinyl material. looks pretty good.

Ive put leather on mine from my Katzkin install. If your just trying to recover the area you dont need to remove the fabric. You get some spray adhesive and lay the vynal on top of the fabric, and work the edges in

I don't know if I should take that as a good or bad thing.
