Default slowly lookin' better

I picked up this 99 silverado, 4x4, 4.8l, back in January and I've been slowly picking away at it as ambition and money comes my way.

here's how it looked when i first picked it up (sorry for the crappy cell phone pics).

then when the weather warmed up a bit i got all the decals off

then i tinted the tails with some vht nightshades

then i got some 2500hd torsion keys, belltech shackles, belltech street performance drop shocks, and removed the rear block.

im pretty happy with the stance for now, especially since it only cost me 100 bux and a couple hours of my time. the front dropped just over 2 inches and the rear about 3.5.... front the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender im at 20" in the front and 20.25" in the rear.

next im working on getting some SS 20's, side window tint, and colour matched bumpers.

-cheers!

Looks good man, great start! Wish I had found one of those when I got the truck I have now.

i probably wont be doing much to the powertrain for awhile because i've got another project that i have to wrap up first. But i do have a spare turbo kickin around the shop that taunts me......one day, one day...

I'm pretty stoked, i think it looks a lot better. The tires they came with will last for the summer but im hoping to get a lower profile set next year... any suggestions on a good size?

Looks perfect with those wheels! Now I just need to get me some 2500hd keys and put my shackles in and should sit just the same as yours.
