So I have a buddy who use to do body work. Offered to paint the truck for cost of materials. Its 55 to rent the paint booth for the day on base. 1 maybe 2 gallons of paint and 1-2 gallons of clear. would look sick. Just cant decide on flat black or like a flat gun metal so something

So your going to re paint your hole truck? Flat color or with a shine? My friend painted his 70 show truck with a flat paint and it looks good man. Also he said no buffing wet sanding was involved which is great. It was a single stage paint.

Now that you've had plastidip on there for a while, how did it hold up? I'd like to black my truck out and I was told the best way to do it would be to Powdercoat the bumpers then paint them to match.

I figure I could give the plastidip a try until I save up the funds. I'd be plastidipping mirrors, grill and bumpers.

I dunno how old this is. But i had my mirrors emblem and wiper cowl dipped for a year and a half ajd washed it with pressure washer never once had an issue. Just cant spray super close to it. That stuff is really pretty dirable. And even when it has been on there that long it still peels off super easy. Good stuff. How old is thos thread amd i liked the flat black but gunmetal in flat or satin would look sick. I even kinda liked the stripes.
