Default Some good questions for some pros...

1st Good Morning:

Dont laugh, but i have a few head scratchers (at least for me).

A. Is chevy's "Dark Carmine red metallic" the same as Gm's Toraedor Red?

B. This was taken from the post a while back with all the silverado door handle part #'s

Carmine Red / Redfire - 72U
15041755 Front LH
15041756 Front RH
15029899 Rear LH
15029900 Rear RH

I know my truck is Carmine Red but i don't see the 72U code...

Next question is, i want painted door handles, where should i get them from? I can't get them off ebay (jennings) because of course they dont have that color, in fact it's a hard color to find period.

I found this website www.gmpartsdirect.com when i plug those numbers given above into the part search the handles do come up, but with no picture, has anyone ordered from this site before?

And finally, would it be easier to just get new black handles and paint them myself?

the paintable handles are smooth, they dont have texture and you can bring them to a panit shop and have them painted. you can pick handles up from the dealership or the parts direct.

as for the color code, some one will chime in and clear that up
