Default Started smoothing and painting some engine plastic

Smoothing these parts is a blast!
Well i have spent most of the day sanding, priming and sanding.

I went with a medium metallic silver, black and the body color. I am almost done with the intake cover and am working on fuse box and then a few other peices.

Let me know what you think

I need to finish up the fuse cover tomorrow and do a few touch ups on the intake cover.
I will paint the intake tube and the radiator cover silver when i have some time again.

Looks pretty damn good jeff. Which Grits of paper did you use? Is that out of a spray gun or rattle can?

Either way it looks really good..

I used to have access to some nice spray equipment at my old job but they went out of business. I plan to get a gun and a good compressor soon, i like painting stuff. It takes time, but i enjoy it.

I am going to let it cure then i will do a wetsand and buff also.

you should use bulldog paint adhesive on those plastic parts before you prime, it will hold better

cool...... yeah i seem many paint jobs on plastic that look good, but after a few months it start to peal off because they didnt use adhesion promoter and didnt do good preparation for paint. good job, lookin clean !!! tip: after primer use only 400 to wet sand the primer

I like the choose of color. I'm with you on the painting, just don't think I could do it for a living (not to offend anyone).
