About a year ago I installed 2" drop shackles on my rcsb truck and soon after the rear suspension developed a squeak. I shoot some wd 40 on the leaf spring bushings and it goes away for a few weeks then its back. I think its a combination of the steeper angle the leaf spring is at and the shorter wheelbase. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue?? ps I didnt replace the shocks but I dont think the noise is caused by them.

yes, and don't torque them down until the trucks weight is on the suspension

 

+1, You could try loosening the bolts and re-torquing them while the suspension is loaded, if you tightened them while the suspension was sprung.

 

Mine did the same thing when I lowered my GMC. I had to take it back a part and use some grease on the bushings and it went away.
