Talking Take the bad with the good and come out on top

Well as many of you know my 2002 Silverado was totaled two weeks ago in a accident. Here is the link if you haven't seen it.

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...appens-488081/

I got my new ride yesterday, it's a 2004 Silverado 2500HD Duramax. This thing is fully loaded, it has 97,4xx miles on it but it's super clean! Its black on tan leather and just sharp! Here are just a few photos of it at the dealership the first day I seen it. I'll take some good pics later of it.

Let me know what you guys think.

Is that a tan interior or the pewter interior. I have the pewter in mine and it looks similar......actually it looks identical minus the chevy logo in the wheel (GMC for me) Great looking truck by the way!!! Sorry to hear your luck with the old one.....but you have a great base to start some mods!

Looks good J.. Now you need to debage it, take that bed cover off for a slim top.. suncoast stg 5 trans, tie rod sleeves, efi live tune it, 4/5 inch turbo back exhaust, lift pump, some spray.. Solid low 12 truck... don't talk about be about..

I don't know if I'll take the cover off or not, but it is staying for a while for now. I do plan on doing 4" turbo back exhaust and a tune of some sort. I also will be doing a level kit some time soon, that will be first thing on the agenda.

Congrats on the new ride. Mangled is right, if you add any sort of power, go with a suncoast IV or V trans.

Just to let you know, you do anything over 110ish hp/ 200lb tq you will puke that ally.. If you would decide to ever do a trans, get with me.. There is a guy down here, like 15 mn away( George aka Big Dipper huge on diesel sites/ google him) that is one of the best in doing ally's in the surrounding states.. Guy knows his ****, does a equivalent to a stg 4-5 suncoast for about 4k.. Has a truck just like yours, that has twins on it, runs mid/low 11's iirc, looks stone stock

Yup, that's who did the trans when I had my diesel. He knows his **** for sure! You drive your truck to him in the morning, and you can drive it home later that day! You can watch him work up to the point where he does his "secret" tricks. He'll ask you to leave the room then. That price includes a new converter of your choice as well.
