Default thinking of relocating coil packs

where would you guys put them? thinking of putting them on the cowl...under it actually, and taking my valve covers and gringing down the coil bracket mounts and having the V/Cs smoothe and black. just curious what you guys thought.

I have seen the f-bodies do it! Looks great! Let us know what you decide to do.

i think i'm gonna try it...i emailed Thunder Racing about their kit with pre cut wires and all that. hopefully i'll hear from them soon. since i got that EGR outta the way it cleaned stuff up so much now i want to bling the engine compartment to complement that new hood.

i have thought about it many times and will eventualy. it will make it much easier to disassemble the motor but i will use these and also when i do it i will remove the pcv from the valve covers. it is such a pain to get the coil pacs off with the vc spacers that is why i want to do it bad.also i would mount it up on the cowl like you are saying. o and i dont think you should let them touch but not sure.

edit: go look at reckless pic in his sig down the page a bit if you can get by the first pic on the page. i like the way he did his relocation looks very clean

Yeah, i'd say putting them on the firewall is a more common thing w/ the 1st gen LS1 drop ins, but for the truck, i dont think it'd be very economical or logical to put 'em that far back, and have to go up underneath to get to them when they need to be replaced.

I think the cowl idea will be kinda cool and unique. Im just wondering how it would look w/ them up there...
