get some good paint thinner to clean everything with first, make sure its dry. get some krylon plastic paint and make as light of a coat as you can with it still looking good. i would get some clear or hardener to go over it also. the little spray gun things you can buy to go over a spray can work wonders.......

depends on what it is if its the typical gm textured plastic youd prolly come out better smoothin it down. Im no paint & body man i have just learned from experience and help from a few guys that do it for a living. i know some plastic is textured and some has the paint from the factory, just make sure you clean it good.

Sand sand sand!!!!!!! It took me forever to get everything sanded down, but when its done, it comes out pretty good. Don't expect it to last that long driving it everyday though. There's a TON of upkeep in it. A few pics of mine(not doing a great job of upkeep)

Just put a crap load of primer on it....wetsand with 320....repeat as much as needed....wetsand with 600. Paint with the color of choice. Clear and wetsand with 1000 grit and clear again wetsand with 4000 grit (the last setp clear and 4K grit isnt needed but it will SHINE! better than the paint) Thats the process I did to paint my interior...which I am still working on doing. Except I'm too lazy to do the 4K grit part

How long do you have to let it dry for each clear and wetsand?

read the can...When you initially prime do thick as possible coats without runs. let it flash...usually takes about 5min. and do another coat. You build up layers and sand down smooth. with the 600 grit primer and 100 grit finish it will turn out better than factory paint. When you wet sand...flash for about a half hour
