Default Tire Size for 18's on a Sierra RCSB...

I've got a black '06 GMC Sierra rcsb 1500 2wd. I am in the process of ordering the Cragar 616C wheels in 18x9 for my truck, but I am curious as to what tire I should mount on the wheels since they are 9" wide. I don't want a super skinny tire, but I also don't want 8 inches of sidewall. Something that will grip well, mount on an 9" wide rim well, and a tire that will fill out the entire wheel well of the truck since it is also getting a 2/4 drop. Thanks guys! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sir,
Do you happen to have any pictures of either of those tire sizes? I have a pretty good idea of what 285/50/18 looks like from using that magical thing called the search, but I don't know what 285/55/18 looks like and that size has me very interested. It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Here are the wheels I'm getting. They're the 18" version 9" wide.
