Default tire size

I have an 05 rcsb with a belltech 2/4 drop. What size tires can I run without rubbing? I am looking at putting on the Weld Velocity 6's in 20". Also what backspacing do I need?

You can run all the way up to a 55series tire without any rub. I think a 275/45/20 tire would look nice with a 2/4 dropp. Not sure about backspacing!

I was not sure if a 285/50 would rub or if I would need to go with a 275/45, both I think would look pretty good, but I dont know much about tire sizes. Not sure if a 22mm or a 40 mm backspacing is what I need.

IMO, I would do a 275/45/20. Only do the bigger tires for stock height trucks.

thanks for the help, looks like I can get the 285/50 for a $1 less than the 275/45 so its no big deal either way. Still wondering about backspacing anyone know what i need in mm as far as back spacing goes???

I have 265/50/20 on a 8.5 rim with I think 5.5 offset. The outside of the tire is even with the inner lip of the fender. If you turn the front all the way the tires will rub on the sway bar. They also will rub the inner plastic fender well if I bottom out. Your 275/45/20 will be almost a inch wider than mine.

Blue 01 what height are you at? The wheels I have found are a 20" 5.6 bs with a 22mm offset. Any thoughts on if they will fit my truck and what size tires. Thanks for everyones input so far.

2/4 drop. I screwed up its a 5.5 back spacing not offset. A 5.5 offset would look like a skateboard.LOL
I would use 265/50/20 with your drop. That back spacing sound good to. Check some other people first. When I had mine done I let the tire shop figure all that out so if it was wrong they would fix it.Here I have a couple of pics you can look at. If you want some closeup ones let me know and I will take some this weekend.

I'm also running 265/50/20, on a 20x8 with 5" bs with a 2/4 drop. There's a good selection of high performance tires in that size. The 285/50/20 will rub like crazy with a 2/4. Lots of people run the 275/45/20 with that drop. How wide is your wheel? 8"? 8.5"?
