Default tire size calculating

does anyone have a link to a good tire size calculator? if so PM me

or does anybody know the formula to convert metric tire sizes (275/40/R20 for example) to standard sizes for measurements (28.6" height, 10.8" width for example)

i googled for tire size calculators and could only find ones to find what size fit on current vehicle from stock tire size

wanting to see how wide of a street tire(22s) i can fit on the rear and get a front tire thats the same height

thanks in advance

need the converison for 295/35/R22 for now, but would like the formula for future use

EDIT: i know about the one from miata . net, but it doesnt give dimensions on width

295/35 22
width/wall ratio rimsize

the first number is the width. divide first number by 25.4 to convert it to standard

width = 295/25.4
height is width x ratio then multiplied by 2 then add rim height

You really need to find the specs from the manufacturer. The width listed, 295, includes rim protectors. You alsoneed to consider the contact patch width.

lol on the silverbrick. I will not be a brick much longer. well, i will but much faster.
