I have the 285/50/20's on my stock height silverado and I have slight rub on real tight turns and in reverse. It mostly depends on backspacing, Mine are pretty much dead on flush with the top of my fender, they may poke out past a little but not much. Try the drop with the tires, you may need to trim the inner wheel well plastic a little but not much.

If I could get away with the drop and only have to trim the plastic inner fender that would be cool!! My wheels are flush with the fender too. Ben, you gonna try a 2/4??

If 285/50's rub on stock height, there is no way they'd work on a 2/4. My Hotchkis dropped me 2 3/4 in front and 4 1/4 in the rear.

The thing is where my wheels rub a drop should not affect it much. It doesn't rub up top anywhere, its on the inside of the plastic. Left to right not up and down. No drop for me I am going to get a set of 23's. That should fill my wheelwells up a little better.
