Default Tire Size Help

Not sure if someone here can help me out or not. I have an 04 Tahoe with 24" Rims, 24x10 to be exact. I'm currently running 305/35/24's but would like put a slightly wider tire in the rear only. I have the clearance for a wider tire which I'm thinking would be a 315/35/24. The problem is a vendor such as Tire Rack etc. will say it's not possible due to factory specs. Can I truely go a bit wider with a 315 or 325......or is the 305 my only option?

What do you mean can you get a 315/335 on a 10" wide wheel or will it fit? I think you would be ok if you were asking either of those questions... if you think a wider tire will fit then go for it... if your worried about the 315 being to wide for a 10" wide wheel... dont be, it will fit

Sorry for the confusion. I know that a 315/35/24 or a 325/??/24 will fit the rim so the true question is will I have any issues with rubbing the inside fenderwell on this particular vehicle?

Well see the problem is your talking about running a 32.68"x12.4" tire when you are running a 32.41"x12.01" tire now. Although it might not seem that much bigger it is. Get some pics of the rear so I can determine how close the tires are to the frame/fender well... as far as clearing them inside the fender well you should be ok, they might rub off the fender well on the backside though
