Default Truck got keyed

So aparently some little ********* thought it would be cute to carve "666" in my hood. Anyhow, its so deep its cut into the fiberglass. Its a 2008 rcsb and its black. Insurance deductible is 500$. Would I be better off having it sanded out and painted? Whats cheaper? I really dont want to open a claim ive been claim free for over 20 years.
