Default Upgrading headlight help

Looking to get a set of headlight and signal lamp housing that look like these ones...

Chevrolet Silverado 2003-2005 Diamond Back Headlights - Black - 2LH-SIV03JM-KS

But I do not want to lose light projection at all as I live in the country without light poles. Stock light is good right now but may upgrade to better bulbds or HID's if I swap headlights. But just looking for opinions from anyone who has blacked out housings like this.

I actually had the chrome verisons before and they only thing I noticed was that the beam or light was more narrower than the oem ones.

Don't think you'd lose any output, but not sure they would look better than stock...

I know lots of people that have done this on NNBS trucks. As long as you don't paint the lens or the reflective area around the bulb you should be fine.
