Shady, Shady, Shady. If this was really done by a dealer why wouldn't they just buy an engine and body parts to swap into a 'burb instead of making a $35,000 truck basically worthless? Why swap out the SS guage cluster, but leave the seats? Why leave the wheels?

it does have the 6.0 still. the entire front clip came from a z71 tahoe. seems legit to me. the guy just wanted the cool ss front clip on his tahoe before he traded it in. i woulda done that too. im guessing the tahoe was black too from the black front bumper and grille.
either that or he hit something hard enough to have to replace the entire front clip...

At first, I thought it was BS!!! But, the interior is correct, the exhaust is correct, the body cladding, rear bumper cover, wheels, etc. are correct - except for the Tahoe Z71 front clip. So, I assume the guy's probably telling the truth. Why would someone spend all that money on body cladding, wheels, interior, and lie and sell it as an SS w/ a Tahoe clip? Yes it sounds dumb for someone to buy 2 brand new vehicles and just swap the clip and motor, but there are some guys that have more money than sense!! I think it's real and legit, but someone needs to verify the Vin #.

Hmmm...something is not right with this truck. I think that truck was originally a '99-'02 ECSB Z71 with a 5.3 (not 5.4, LOL) and somebody stuck an authentic 2004 SS VIN tag on the dash. I think it's kinda weird that the seller took a close up picture of the VIN #. Other things I noticed...the gauges should be white if it's an SS, the SS emblem on the tailgate does not look like it's in the right place (not sure about this, can somebody help me out), and the fender gap in the rear does not look like SS specs. Overall, I think a 2004 Silverado got hit in the front. Somebody took the body kit, rear bumper, wheels, and VIN plate off that truck and put it all on this "99-02" ECSB Z71. I don't know, maybe I'm completely wrong about all this, something just seems fishy here!
