What do you guys think about putting ss emblems on a single cab truck?

I say: GO FOR IT!!
Chevrolet recently did three concept vehicles - a Standard Cab Silverdo Pickup, Tahoe, and Trailblazer, all in SS Badges! If your truck has been upgraded, especially in performance, then it's pefectly OK to upgrade the badges with "SS". I've owned several "factory" SS vehicles over the years. And although I understand SS "purists" attitudes on "classic" SSs, I've seen some really well done "fakes".
Just because Chevrolet is slow to put these vehicles in production, it doesn't mean you have to wait!
I took a stock '99 Tahoe 4x4 and made my own SS!! It ROCKS!

I vote no!!!! While it may garner ooo's and ahh's from a lot of the ricer/inexperienced crowd, true knowledgable truck guys like a lot on this site would snicker at it.
Now what I may do is if I ever do my engine or whatever would be to put the 6.0L on the cowel of the hood. I like that old school look like on the 76 era T/A's.

badges
you know, when its your truck, you can do what you want. but the trucks that have ss or vortech high output badges are very special vehicles, unique to the cheverolet or gmc brand. wouldnt it look stupid to put a lightning badge on a non lightning truck. its counterfieting, posing, dishonest and harmfull to the gm legacy of performance trucks. if you owned one of these trucks, you might understand. just my opinion.....

Funny this post was brought back up. I raced a yellow single cab short bed GMC with SS emblems coming home from the shootout. It had ss wheels and the badges, but didn't have the guts obviously because of how bad I went by him. It seemed to have a 4/6 drop. It was a nice looking truck, and believe it or not, the badges looked sweet on it! Almost the way it should have been. I opted not to go with them, but I honestly think some trucks can pull it off.
