Default Wheel selection help???

I need help with sizing wheels for my truck. I have an 04 GMC Sierra with 4/6 drop. I want the widest 22 for my truck without problems. I would like to have the rear end narrowed for a wider rim and tire combo in the rear. What kind of suggestions do you guys have. How much can I cut off the rear end without any suspension problems?

You can narrow your rear end. Many people have done it. There are a few running 22x12" rims and there is one guy running 20x18s. Obviously there isn't really a limit.

Now, if you want to keep costs reasonable, I would shorten your rear axle 3" on each side and run some 22x12s. That would look sick.

That sounds like what I want. But how about sizing wheels for that application. Will it clear the suspension? Dont forget the front. I have heard some gys running 22x10 in the front with 4" and 5" drops on the front. Is that possible. I have 4/6 drop with factory 20's with 275/55/20 tires that rub like crazy.
