Default wheel and tire size

I have found some 20"x9" wheels I am getting. I would like to get some 305/50-20 or will I have to find something narrower to keep them from rubbing?

That will depend on the backspace of the wheel and offset.

295/45-20 would work well with that size wheel also

I've installed 305/50R20 on a truck once. I didn't think it would fit, but it did....barely....

Truck was stock height, wheels were 9" wide, on a +15 offset. I think the offset of the wheels, and your ride height will be the deciding factor in your fitment.

Take a look at a 275/55/20 tire.

I can get a +20 or 30 offset in the wheels I want. I am just worried that a 32" tire will look too tall, but I guess I could always put the 2" I went down back in.

Most tire shops will not charge you to "test fit" a couple different sizes, so you can see what will look the best.

I took the 31.9" tires off of mine and dropped the diameter by 1.5" to get a better grip on acceleration. I am now running Nitto NT850 265/50/20 tires instead of the 275/55/20 tires and the ride is great.

Do you mean huge tall or huge wide?

That's what the guy at my tire shop told me he would do. If they are too tall he would put on some 305 45s

Mine will do a 30mph rolling burnout in 4x4 if I build boost with the brakes first, I don't think there will be much to help in the grip department for my dd tires. I'm hoping the wider, and taller tire will do away with some of the spinning on accident.
