Default Where did you mount your spare tire?

I'm throwing around the idea of removing my tonneau cover (it's starting to show some signs of weathering after 6 or so years), but I'm not sure what to do with my spare. I could probably still re-mount it under the truck, but I like how smooth and clean the back of the truck looks without it. I could build a permanent mount in the bed, but I'm not so sure how that will look. What have you guys done about your spare? Those of you who roll the dice and go spare-less feel free to post up also...

Mine just sits in the bed, but I live in the country and dont have to worry about it getting stolen. I agree about the clean rear end look, I hate my tire hanging down in the back.

On my last truck (ZR2), I had a local shop fab-up a simple mount for me. He welded a piece of round-stock to 1/4 or 3/8" plate, drilled some holes for mounting and 1 hole to padlock it. I had a tire cover for it which 'kinda' dressed it up some. Good luck, Billy!

Thanks man That's kinda the idea that I have...I was thinking that I could fab something up or have something made, and get a cover for the tire to make it look decent. Probably do a spray in or roll in bed liner if I end up removing the tonneau

I see alot of guys rolling the dice too...I do have AAA if I go that route lol
