i got the soft cover from gm, stays95%dry in the bed except right at the tailgate due to a 1" gap on either side between the tailgate and the cover in the corner. i like that i can just roll it up when i need to use the whole bed, the velcro is a bit of a pain having to pull the cover tight on both sides. overall i like it. just my 2 pennies

I had a Extang Tri-Fecta and I liked it, it takes 5 minutes to install it and 5 minutes to remove it completely. It's currently on my fathers truck and he loves it. My current truck came with a Leer 700 series, it's a nice cover but the bed becomes unpractial for use on large items. But I like security of the cover since it has a lock on it.

Personally I'm going to look into the Jack Rabbit Full Metal roll-n-lock cover.

I really dig my Access Vanish. very lopro, light, and doesn't cover the bedrails, which I hate.

Other than that, it's really about the only cover out there I know of that I'd actually run on my own truck. I hate hard covers, not only horribly gaudy looks, but I can't haul dirtbikes or mountain bikes without removing...

I just bought my truck used and it had a Jason cover on it, while driving home I told my wife that I was going to take it off and sell it because I bought a truck not a car with a giant trunk It's still on there and I kinda like the extra storage, its heavy as hell but it's water tight and is keeping my cab clutter free, I make the kids put all there junk in the back and lock it up, if I ever take it off it to haul something big it may not go back on but for now it's staying.

Can anyone comment on fuel economy or performance changes you experienced after adding a cover? I've often wondered how it would effect that.

I've had soft and now have an ARE hard. Never noticed anything with mileage one way or the other. Do like the hard more. Plus, being harder to take off, it gets you out of a lot of "friends" moving **** with your truck!

Extang saber here, love it.. It is a soft top, with no buttons.. Hard covers are to dam heave, to get a nice one that is a lo profile, are big money, otherwise you have a grandpa looking cover..
