Default Widest tires with out rubbing?

What are the widest tires I can run with out rubbing on the fenders. I currently have 255/70/16. I have a new set of 17s and I'm thinking about 275/55/17. I have a 3/4 drop and even with the stockers they rub a little hitting big bumps going fast. I just don't want the new ones rubbing all the time.

I have a 3/4 drop with 285/60/17's on the rear. That is on a 17x10 wheel. My frame is not c-notched. It depends on what back spacing you have. I run a 255/60/17 in front with no problems.

My rears are 295/35/18 18x10 with no rub it all depends on the wheel spec's.
I'm getting a 305/45/18 for the new setup. Also thats with 4/6 drop.

go with some 275/60's with that drop and you'll have enough room to spare, and have plenty of tire under there IMO...
