Yeah, ive done tinting for only two years, but i also know that it should come out better than that. yes the dot matrix is a pain, but if prepped right before you lay on the tint, and push out all the solution afterwards...it should stick well and only get better over time being in the sun. It wont fill the gaps between the matrix, but it should stick a lot better than what it sounds like your issue is...stay away from the heat gun if its been cured for more than a day, youll burn the tint

off topic but I changed my Tint to 3M yesterday and I swear when I where my sun glasses which are " POLARIZED " i see purple shades to dark objects LOL weird...

my defroster looked like hell the day i picked it up- the guy was real professional- he said to wait a few days, itll get better and if not bring it back he will redo it- sure enough like 4 days later i got in my truck and it looked awsome

haha! I was used to wearing sunglasses all the time so the fist couple weeks after I tinted my windshield I still wore them out of habit. The first couple cars that caught my eye changing colors didn't throw up a red flag. Then my 60 year old boss pulled up in a new ford pick up white with a purple pearl, thats I figured it out lol!
