If it were me, I would probably try to get a truck/car already modded with some performance parts that still had fairly low mileage and would still be a good Daily driver. If you get a stock vehicle, Sooner or later your going to get the performance itch and start upgrading / changing things anyway.

It's going to be cheaper in the long run if you get a vehicle already modded at least slightly. Their loss is your gain on the money the previous owner invested in mods, that's just the way it is.

Look in the classified sections on here and other LS sites and see what you can get. You can get boosted mid 2000 trucks with supporting mods at 12-14K..

There is an 05 rcsb chevy procharged truck in the classifieds for 13k as an example. If you wanted something more expensive, I am sure you can find it.

This is just IMO. If I had it to do over, I would probably get a boosted rcsb or something of the like.

damn dude that sucks. I always think for both people when im driving, I guess it's an instinct to hit my brakes when i see someone flying up to a stop sign and I still have the right away. Man i wish people would learn how to drive. Where i live EVERYBODY thinks they have the right away.

About a year ago, I had just gotten my friend's car sorted out and running really great. Less then 2 weeks later, and just before I was going to start some body work on it, a guy ran a red light and slammed into her. Not only did it totally ruin the car, she spent 6 months or more in and out of the Dr. office with pretty severe back and neck injuries.

One of my biggest pet peeves is people slamming on the brakes at the last second when approaching an intersection. People have no concept of how to drive or the dynamics of a vehicle.

I taught my wife to drive, and I did it in a Jeep Cherokee. A cherokee is fairly stable, but the way it moves around, you get a sensation that your going to end up in trouble. Aside from always keeping her foot on one of the pedals, she handles a vehicle very well. She didn't understand why I was so hard on her and so focused on the smallest details, but now, she will not ride with any of her friends. They have to ride with her.

I fully believe that all drivers should go through an advanced driving course before they can get a full license.
