Just buy a set of Ford Torsion bar keys. That should raise the front end up level and look alot better then lowering it.

If you are just lowering the rear of your truck you dont need to have an alignment done, there is nothing to align in the rear so you dont have to worry about it. You could just crank up the torsion bars in front to level your truck out. if you do that you would need an alignment. If you can get it to level out then you dont need to bother with the ford torsion keys

I can't speak for the Silverado Z71's, but my Avalanche Z71 did not come with plastic skid plates. At the moment, I have no skid plated since the lift makes them not work. I am going to have some more made, but I have never seen a plastic one. I would think that they would serve no purpose. I have went over many things that would tear up plastic. I could be wrong though, I wouldn't put it pass GM to install something like that.

If that black one is your's, it is jacked up pretty high in the rear. I must have never really noticed that before on those trucks.
