I bought a set of msd super conductor truck wires. They were a little long and touching the trick manifold so I cut them down to 9" and 28-29 ohms of resistance. Turned out to be a perfect length. Found some Techflex insultherm locally that protects up to 1200 degrees F continuous and threw them over.

Received everything for the 4l80 install and realized I forgot the freakin mount. I have a crappy used one I can use to start the install then swap it out. Do any of you thing there is going to be an issue with running a poly trans mount with new stock engine mounts?

I have been running a poly trans mount with rubber motor mounts, with the intention of making the motor mounts solid or hoping someone would eventually come out with poly mounts, since swapping in the 4l80. That was 7+ years ago and have yet to crack the trans case (which is what some say will happen with that combo). Maybe I have just been lucky. Your results may vary.

Well, Hughes sent me a converter that has the longer pilot on the crank side 15/16" long that will not work on the 99-00 LQ4 "long crank" pilot which is only 5/8" deep. You would think the long crank would have a deeper pilot but my old 2003 LQ9 crank pilot is also 5/8" deep. Regardless, I need to send my converter back and wait for another.
Also, I bought some ARP torque converter bolts p/n 230-7304 and the flanged bolt head is way too tall coming in contact with he back face of the oil pan.

i don't know. Hughes supplies 8.8 bolts the have a lower profile head that clears but the ones they sent me have a 7/16 long shank which are a little too short. They are sending out longer ones with the new converter.
