You're using stock shocks with a 4" rear drop?
Do you have shock extenders? If no, you may look into them as well.
Your factory shocks are too long and are probably bottoming out.
Drop shocks are shorter so you get back the shock travel that you lost resulting in a better ride.
Shock extenders will extend the drop shock out to prevent it from bottoming out.
I've used both on both drops and will use them for my 07 as well. Never had any issues with ride quality either. One drop was 2/4 on rcsb and 4.5/6 on my 2dr Tahoe.

I went back to spring over axle w/o block. Have the relocators and may drop another inch via shackle, starting to think the Pro Comp 3000's are just stiff. But really- it's the front I'm concerned with right now, seems that all the cranking the shocks were working against me pulling me back down. Starting to think I'm over thinking again as it feels like the front end is washing when I turn in concluding alignment again..........

If you lift the front tires off the ground and set them back down your going to get a bad measurement without rolling the truck forward/backward a few feet to get the suspension to settle.

Another issue; Thinking my rear was too low I put my blocks back in and went top notch on the shackle but wound up gaining 2 inches instead of the one I was shooting for. But what I did find out is that, at this angle/ elevation it runs smoother as it's easier to putt putt thru a parking lot and just less effort pretty much everywhere. Planning to return to blocks gone and stock shackles and helper leaf toss- am I looking at a shim to correct my rear angle................
TIA
