02RedHawk - Who tried them and what problems did they encounter? What brand name headers did they try? They are real tight on the sides, it is easiest to remove the transmission cross member and move the transmission right or left to get the headers in there. Thanks!

NORCAL TBSS - I have the Stainless Works Headers here that we will look at today. The Dynatech Headers are very tight even on the SSR and need to be tweaked to fit correctly. The Stainless Works Headers are a better fit even on the SSR. The trick seems to be to drop the transmission crossmember and move the tailshaft around to get the headers in there. The starter needs to be dropped along with moving a few other parts around.

Side by side, comparison done this morning. The 2WD TBSS actually has more room at the firewall and the floorboards then the SSR.
The headers are a tight fit no matter which company you buy from.

I would say the Stainless Works Headers will be fine with the 2WD TBSS. You will see above that NORCAL TBSS also confirms this for the 2WD TBSS. Like I stated above the TBSS actually has more room for the headers at the firewall and the floorboards.
This will be for the Headers only, the aftermarket y-pipes will have to be test fit. I only have the Headers setting here.
TBSS has a great Silver SS, the ride and handleing is so close to the SSR it is unreal.
