EDIT: injectors also IMO
Yes its my DD, but i already got the cam, pushrods, and a partiot gold valve springs kit at the house. How much bigger should i go on the pumps?

im sure you can go on ls1tech and do some searching and find someone that is selling a t-56.

I really think that you should do a turbo/t-56 and call it a day. as youve seen on here you can build a really quick 4.8. so why not?!

i considered this in my 4.8 the guy who did my cam and head swap said yeah just change the block and priced out 4,000 for a .40 over bore and stroke. not in my budget. I have 243 heads with 6500 hundred miles on em i would be willling to sell. i dont know to much about trannys but my brother said you can get the 4l60e with a decent stall 4 speed and then go to gear vendors and theyll make it a six speed if dailly driver is a concern just my .1 i dotn know much but hopefully it helps.

FLT builds great trannies, better than most. I must say, I love mine, altho it's a 4L65E.

When it comes to trannies, I look at durability before prices.
I see on the FLT site that they say "must send core for build" im guessing they do sell the T-56 already done and rebuilt?

Also, http://www.americanpowertrain.com/T56-Magnum.html To get the T-56 magnum and clutch kit with the drivshaft from these guys they figured with shipping included it be about $4000... Not sure if thats a good deal or not there too with the package.

I agree with the turbo 4.8...definitely intercooled...definitely meth injection...maybe a direct port somwhere in the mix. Oh and a heavily built 4l80 maybe manual valve body slap shift style.

P.S. Don't forget a built driveshaft.

Yes, without a doubt i will NEVER convert my truck to an auto as long as i live. If im going to be hardcore draging it, i'd buy a camero and put a built auto in that. This is my DD and i want to just be able to have fun with it on the side also.

Project update: By next week the cam, valvesprings, 180 thermo, pushrods, and 4.10's will be installed.

Still shopping around and looking for a decent T-56 thats not gonna kill the budget and more than likely gonna wait until KB or Trick has another sale before i get the turbo im patient plus its stupid to waste $1000's when fuel prices are the way they are right now... F'n reDICKulous.
