Full-Size Trucks:

With the rollout of the next generation full-size trucks, GM will be revamping its Vortec 6000 engine. The new 6.0L will produce 400HP and 400lb/ft of torque (strangely similar to the LS2, no?). The 6.0L will be in the next generation of Cadillac Escalade, EXT, ESV, GMC Yukon Denali, Denali XL, GMC Sierra Denali and Chevrolet Silverado SS Supercharged.
Good to see they're upping the horsepower assuming the info is accurate. I take it's just a supercharged LQ4? Or is it going to be the LS2 with 400hp + supercharger just on the SS.

400 hp plus a supercharger on the ls2 should make alot more than 450 in my opinion.

I'm not holding my breath. It took 4 years to get the SS-r and look what a piece of **** that is. If it were Dodge saying these things I would look for one on the road in 6 months, but GM really drags their feet on **** like this.

They'll probably add about 500-800lbs to the truck to counteract the extra power.

I'm wondering if the new 6.0L is going to even be a 6.0L. There are rumors of a 6.4L.
