Question 4l85 IN NEW 2WD SS'S?

I just read in the new issue of motor trend trucks that the new silverado SS will have a 4L85 in it.....I know its only a magazine, and they do have a "NEVER HAPPEN" truck from GM in there....so I do know that they have trucks that wont ever make it to a dealership in there.....
Anyone know anything about GM coming around and giving the LQ9 guys the trans upgrade they needed? I hope they do that because now more parts should be available for the swap....what do you guys think? 4L80's might become more common in our trucks now that they make a production harness and crossmember.....and drive shaft.....

The great thing about GM is that they stamp 4L60 on everything. My 4L65 has 4L60 stamped right on the bell housing. What is the code on the glove box sticker for a 60? 65? 80? Just want to look and see what it says on mine.

On GM online order reference guide it has the RPO M32 which says it's the 4L60E HD transmission for the 2005 and 2006 SS.

I just looked in my glovebox and I have the rpo code M32, now I am confused as to whether it is the 4L60E or 4L65E

For whatever it's worth. This is from GM's sight:
Transmission model AUTOMATIC 4-SPEED w/OVERDRIVE 4L60-E
RPO Code M30

Transmission model AUTOMATIC 4-SPEED w/OVERDRIVE 4L60E HD
RPO Code M32

Nice truck out2win

I wonder if GM's sight made a typo? And truck trend says 4L85E

Thanks JDG
