The truck is an 06 ss silverado.

Under heavy acceleration I get a loud squeak, I am pretty sure it is the serp belt slipping.

My questions are does any one have this similar problem, and or had it or heard of it? (is it normal)

If it is not normal and should have it taken care of under warranty, any tips on how to approach this. (um ya when I am flooring it the belt slips, which is only replicaple under wot, I could only imagine their response.)

This is a very common problem with our trucks. Most folks try a different brand belt like a Dayco or Goodyear. this seems to help. I doubt the dealer will be much help.

I had goodyear gatorback belt installed a year ago and have'nt hear them since

I had the same problem with my 2005 VHO. 6.0 LQ9, at WOT. Dealer wont do squat, I was basically told not to drive it at WOT. I was told on another forum to switch to the Goodyear Gatorback belts so I did, bottom line, problem solved, no more squeel

I have a bad squeel on my truck every time I shift gears, it does it bad on the 2-3 shift I'm going to look into the Goodyear Gatorback belt also

Cool thanks for the info. Since it is just the belt I will probably do nothing. Just did not want it to be some thing else.

On my 03 the belt doesnt slip but my buddy has a 05 and it slips at WOT on the 1-2 shift he did have the belt changed by the dealer twice but it didn't help but im not sure if they tried different brands.
