Baer Racing, Inc., was established in 1986. Founder Hal Baer´s technical and analytical skills, coupled with a keen ability to spot people with strong, diverse talents and assemble them into a cohesive team, has and continues to be Baer Racing´s greatest strength, both on and off the track. Originally the business provided race preparation and fabrication services between seasons and race dates. But as popularity and demand for its brake systems grew, Baer was forced to look at beginning real production of its systems. To that end, following the 1993 race season, Hal Baer partnered with Todd Gartshore and Robert Sommers to form Baer Brake Systems.

Today Baer offers the industry´s most complete line of performance brake products, from the new DecelaRotorTM line, offering entry level enthusiasts direct OE replacement rotors, to the family of race and road-going systems engineered and manufactured entirely by Baer. Baer’s 6-piston MonoBlock calipers, machined in-house from a single chunk of forged aluminum alloy and featured in Baer Claw® EXTREME-PLUS systems, truly are the stiffest, gnarliest, most robust road-going calipers in the world.

From its inception in 1977, Wilwood Engineering has been at the forefront of high performance disc brake technology. As founder and president, Bill Wood's first brake designs were developed to give stock cars racing on short tracks and super speedways superior braking performance with greater reliability. These first brake components incorporated new designs and manufacturing techniques that met with considerable success in helping to redefine the performance level of disc brakes on race cars. An engineering background helped Wood apply new technologies in a wide variety of motorsports applications, and by the early 1980's Wilwood had become a major supplier of high performance racing disc brakes to the industry.

Brake Technology Evolution and Revolution:

Wilwood originally manufactured products utilizing a wide spectrum of aerospace job shops in Southern California, but the 1980's saw the transition to in-house manufacturing. This significant production change afforded Wilwood greater control and the ability to bring new designs to market faster, an essential requirement in the dynamic, fast-paced motorsports world.

Utilizing specialized computer controlled machinery with a sophisticated design network, and a solid foundation of engineers, designers, sales and administrative staff allowed Wilwood to grow quickly toward the end of the 1980’s. Corresponding with the growth of the racing industry, Wilwood became the major source for high performance disc brakes.

Wilwood's product line grew from individual disc brake components to complete braking systems including master cylinders, brake pedals, brake pads, racing hubs, specialty valves and high temperature brake fluids. Additionally, new applications were continually being developed and by 1993, Wilwood also became a major supplier of disc brake systems for recreational and utility vehicles. Further expansion has produced a wide variety of specialty, OEM, and industrial brake systems.

The 1990's saw steady sales growth in all of Wilwood's product divisions. The root of this growth is, and will continue to be our dedication to the racing industry, which fuels much of our research, development and technical prowess. By continually pursuing the higher performance standards of stronger, lighter, more reliable brake systems for the ever-changing racing market, Wilwood will maintain its performance edge on the track, street, and off-road.

The new millennium sees Wilwood positioned as one of the world's premier sources of high performance disc brakes. Advancements in technology, machine equipment and computer modeling will enable Wilwood to meet the never-ending challenge of building higher performing, lighter weight brake systems. Expanding the technological envelope fueled by the racing spirit, Wilwood Engineering will continue to lead the way in the twenty first century.

Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation (SSBC) first pioneered the stainless steel sleeved caliper for classic Corvette and Mustangs back in 1975. They offer performance brake upgrades for classic muscle cars, late model performance vehicles, street rods and customs, trucks/SUVs and sport compacts.

Starting out as a small business, SSBC broke through the challenges many small companies face, and is now thriving in its 2nd generation of family ownership. Located in Clarence, NY (near Buffalo), the past few years have seen the purchase and expansion into an adjacent building, and the construction of a new Research & Development wing. In all, over 15,000 square feet was added.

As their motto, Braking Rules, states, braking is the top priority at SSBC. While at the same time, their breaking many traditional design constraints to develop new products. In keeping with that philosophy, they have and will continue to take steps to improve our capabilities. Some recent steps include:

Successfully passing an ISO 9001:2000 quality system audit, bringing higher levels of standardization and quality control to our organization
Installing three automated parts carousels and a modern shipping system, allowing us to quickly fill and ship orders

Utilizing state-of-the-art CAD software for rapid product development
Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to provide powerful design validation and stress analysis prior to manufacturing

Purchasing a 3D printer that allows us to produce sample parts to check fitment

The installation of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), allowing us to measure product tolerances, further ensuring proper fitment and safety

Replacing three outdated CNC machining centers with four new ones in 2004; another new CNC has since been added, bringing our total number to nine

These improvements gives SSBC design, testing, quality and manufacturing capabilities that very few aftermarket companies can match. They will continue to look at areas and methods to improve, enabling us to consistently provide high quality, high performance braking technologies.

Whether you drive a sports car, SUV, truck or sport compact, Powerslot has a brake rotor for your vehicle! With over 1200 vehicle fitments,

First came our Power Slot gas slotted O.E. replacement rotors. Following closely on that success, they released they Pro-Stop slotted and dimpled rotors. And in 2005 they proudly introduced two new product lines: Power Slot Cryo by Frozen Rotors, and Power Slot Plus big brake kits.

Powerslot lives by one simple motto: Premium quality equals premium performance. They believe that all of their products must exceed the fit, finish and performance of the original equipment on your car. So you won't find a single offshore economy rotor hiding in their program!

Give us a call or e-mail holly@tbyrnemotorsports.com to receive a personal quote for your vehicle! Be sure to let us know what kind of car/truck you would like to improve the stopping ability of!

Have a good day!
