Talking little black ss, Big Block orrr big block power

just curious why GM hasnt made a performance truck...id hardly consider the current SS a performance vehicle...anyway....an 07' RCSB with a reworked 8.1 makin 450hp. & 500lb.'s conservatively...with a 6spd...and just alll Black n bitchin ...sa*weet! even with an LS2 thad be fine, ooo and wit those base model alloys damn theyre sweet....gm is weird man they make me mad.

they'll never make a true performance truck because of how the overpriced srt-10 ram sold and they as a corporation dont see there to be a large enough market for the truck

even if they did make it it would be so overpriced it would be ridiculous, i mean the ss is already 40K+ if they made a rcsb ss it would be 50k+ and not many would buy them

the 8.1's do not impress me at all and are overrated..the ls2 would be a good performance motor for it

and remember the 8.1L is now dead for 07 so

a true ss IMO, and actually a realistic one at that would be a rcsb awd ls2/l92( either or) with maggie and specially geared 80e

There are rumors going around 08 will be a 500+ hp small block ss with a aggressive body kit. it was over on another site that talk about all the upcoming GMs. I would think it would probably be a blown 6.2 with 6 speed auto behind it.

I'm relieved that there is no chance of getting a 8.1L in a sport truck. That would be adding just too much weight over the front tires. A high strung smallblock around 6L would be alot more fun to drive, especially since the 8.1L barely had any top end. 500 hp at 6000 rpm is a requirement for a good time.
